1/5th of MONOCHROME's lineup, Wes is a multi talented creator of complex and majestic layers of visual and sonic waves.
A Fine Arts graduate from the University Of Santo Tomas, Wes spent a few years in advertising and then went on to teaching first in the College of the Holy Spirit, where he met Sonia Mendiola, who also plays guitar for MONOCHROME. He then transferred to UST, and met Domeng and Donna. Sonia, Donna and Domeng were his thesis students prior to forming Monochrome.
He had Ace Alamillo of SHINRIKYō & SÄLÖT as a student when he taught at APC in Magallanes. He also remembers seeing Earl Lopez of No One Wins loitering around the UST grounds but didn't have the chance to domesticate him.
The prevalent themes of Wesley Valenzuela’s work are visions of human survival, social transformation & enlightenment, which appropriates aesthetics derived from popular culture, religion, technology and history
Distinguished guests please welcome one of the coolest, cuddly person around...

tungkol sa pag gising mo sa umaga hanggang sa pagtulog mo sa gabi, lahat ng nasasagap mo sa tv, social media, balita, ay may koneksyon sa violence at death,

"for my main dirt/heavy sound, i run an eqd plumes (ts9 type overdrive) into a musket fuzz (a more tweakable big muff inspired fuzz).
for my ambient/washed delays and reverbs sound,
I run a chorus (julia) > analog delay (carbon copy) > digital delay (timeline) > reverb (bigsky), then it is complimented by the additional sounds coming from the other 2 guitar players"
